– Frozen storage can store up to (best before) 3 months period
– After defrosting the food, we recommend to finish the meal within 3 days for the best quality.

Preparing one of Maji’s pre-packaged meals could not be simpler. Please using one of the following methods. (Fully thawed before reheating is recommended.)

Open package and pour content into a pot. Bring it up to a boil and turn it down to a simmer for minute, please stir frequently.

Open package and pour content into a microwave safe container. Microwave it for minutes.

* Note * Some pre-packaged meals are not suitable for reheating in the microwaves.
* Note * Package bag is not recommended to use a microwave oven for long period heating.

Open package. Pour content into a heat resistant container and cover it.  Place it into a preheated steamer. Use low heat and steam for minutes.

Boiling in water:
Remove product label and place package bag into a pot of boiling water. Adjust to low heat and simmer for minutes.

No, Maji does not currently offer vegetarian or vegan meal options.

It is one of our top priority to store our goods at an ideal temperature until it is delivered to you; we consider this especially important throughout the delivery process and hence your order will be stored in a thermal bag to prevent the risk of the products losing its quality. The thermal bag adds another layer of protection for quality control.

Yes you may, as long as you have contacted us within 24 hours after making your order by emailing care@kitchenbymaji.com. We will cancel the order immediately upon receiving the email and will refund full amount. If the order has been made more than 24 hours ago, we would unfortunately not be able to cancel nor refund.

Food is a perishable commodity; therefore, Maji is unable to accept returns on shipped meals. However, if the product is defective due to temperature loss during the transportation process, please contact customer service immediately.

In terms of delivery, Kitchen by Maji is collaborating with a third party delivery company to provide this service – Uniexpress. To ensure and preserve the freshness of all orders, each order will be stored in a personalized thermal bag during the delivery process. For further quality control, the delivery vehicles will contain temperature-controlled equipment to store the orders at a safe temperature during the commute. Delivery time will typically occur between 6pm and 10:30 pm on the given delivery day; please kindly ensure there is someone available to receive the order during the aforementioned time frame.

If the buzzer is unanswered, the delivery man will attempt to be in contact by phone to discuss the next step options:

  • Leave thermal bag at front door
  • Deliver the order back to our store for in-person pick up

If the phone call attempt remains unanswered, the delivery man will leave the order at your front door and will send a picture to show you that this has been done.

The same attempts will be made as mentioned above; however if the phone call attempt remains unanswered, the order will be delivered back to our store until further instructed. Should you have concierge service in your building and you would like to take advantage of it, please ensure to mention this in the order notes at checkout. Otherwise, you may come and pick up in-person OR make another payment for delivery cost to schedule a second attempt. For orders that have previously qualified for free delivery, the second attempt delivery rate will be based on which area you live in.

Please bring your order confirmation along, and the door is open from 11:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. We do not open on weekends and statutory holidays.

Maji’s thermal bag is reusable and since it has short term capabilities in preserving produce at either warm or cool temperatures, it is well suited to be utilized during your grocery store trips or picnic/group outings etc.

For those of you who don’t think they will be making use of the bag, you are more than welcome to bring it back to our store and exchange it for a $2.50 store credit that you can apply to your next order.
